Open Sales Position  

As a representative of Tableau and its product suite you will manage a large geographic sales territory with customer accounts of all sizes and industries without the inconvenience of travel.   Based in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, the Sales Area Manager (SAM) manages the sales process throughout the sales cycle, including prospecting, product demonstrations over the web, sales engineering assistance, account management, writing proposals, and closing business.  This is a high impact and quota-carrying position.  

 

Requirements  

  • Direct Sales Experience.  At least three years of consistent overachievement of sales goals, including quotas, transaction volume and activity levels (calls, demos, meetings, etc.).

  • Transactional Sales Experience.  Demonstrated transactional sales experience including prospecting and assessing sales potential over the phone and web; moving a large number of transactions simultaneously through the sales pipeline and closing them quickly.

  • Product Aptitude.  Aptitude to become a master of Tableau’s product capabilities, underlying technology and competitive advantages.  This requires the ability to become deeply fluent in the technology and the industry.

  • Missionary.   You “get it” and understand Tableau’s mission deeply in some way. You believe Tableau will become one of the most important technology companies in the world, you want to be a contributing member of a winning sales team, and you want to have fun all the way.

Compensation  

Competitive base + 6 figure income with on-target performance
