Download Instructions for Tableau Desktop

1. Log into the Tableau Software Download Center.

Why can't I log into the Tableau Software Download Center?

  • You must have access to the Tableau Software Download Center in order to log in.

  • If you have misplaced your password you can us the Password Finder.
What do I do if I receive a 'member not known' error?
  • You may not have been given access to the Tableau Software Download Center. Contact your account administrator for your copy of Tableau Desktop.

  • You may be using an incorrect email address. If you do not remember the email address you used to register, please contact Customer Service.

2. Click on the Product Description for your Tableau Desktop product.

Click the product description for Tableau Software Desktop product.

3. Click the HTTPS Download button on the right. Then click Save to download the install file.

If you encounter any errors, please click here to troubleshoot the problem.

Click the HTTPS Download button to begin the installation.

Alternate Download Options

If you are downloading from behind a firewall or have a slow internet connection, the download may time out or fail. Try downloading the software using the alternative method described below:

  1. Return to the Tableau Software Download Center and click the Product Description for your Tableau Desktop product.
  2. Click the Alternate Download Options link below the HTTPS Download button.
  3. Click the download button for the Browse FTP option (first in the list).

4. After the file has downloaded, double-click the install file to begin the installation.

Note: When you are prompted to enter a license key, you can retrieve it by clicking the red Click Here for License Keys hyperlink.
