"Filtering" measures and dimensions on the dashboard

Hi,
I've prototyped some sheets (see attached) so that our departments can see undergraduate outcomes over the past eight years.

The dashboard is broken with Year and Gender Rows, and Outcome Columns. The Filter shelf has Course Title on it, allowing the user to see the outcomes for just a subset of courses.

The users can therefore see the relationship between Gender and Outcome over time, for either their whole department, or for a particular course.

So far so good.

However, as well as gender, they want to see outcomes broken down by Ethnicity, Disability, and various other criteria that appear in my Dimension list. They will be viewing the data in Tableau Reader.

Is there a way to setup *one* sheet so that, in Tableau Reader, the user can switch between a chosen set of Dimensions. I imagine something like the Course Title filter but one that switches Dimensions instead.

If I can't do this, I assume I will have to create a sheet for each criteria separately.

Thanks
Andy

I think the best course is to set up a sheet for each. You could put all the filters onto a single sheet and let users pick from all of them, but it would probably be hard to use because the filters would be all crammed together.
The idea of a choosing which dimension is a good feature though that we can look into supporting.
