Add local user

We are using Active directory for our users. We have a case when we need to add user outside of our domain.
I want to add user name and password using local domain, but documentation said:

"You cannot switch between Active Directory and Local Authentication".

Is there work around? How can I go back to local, add user and then switch back to Active directory?

Thanks

Tableau Server can be configured in one of two modes for authenticating users, and it does not support mixing the two. The phrase "local authentication" for TS means creating and managing users inside the application itself, rather than a computer-local-domain.

You are indeed in a tough position if you're using AD auth but don't have the ability to add AD accounts. If you can request the creation of a new user, they don't have to have any particular rights, login or otherwise, to any of the computers in your AD domain - they merely have to exist in the domain so that Tableau Server can perform password authentication.

Is the user you want to add in aother Active Directory Domain? That is well supported. But mixing authentication schemes (local vs. Active Directory) is not supported. There is no workaround.

By default Tableau add Tableau User, Tableau Guest and Tableau Software in local mode (non-AD) as users.

How can I find that users password, so I can login?

Ignore prevous message. That users for non-AD logins.
Thanks

Yes, it is true that the sample workbooks are created by 'local' users. However, it is not possible to login as those users in an Active Directory configuration. The server can support only a single authentication method, and that method can not be changed after the initial server configuration.
