Better Print and Save Options
Posted January 18th, 2008 by bfarinella
Being able to change page print view (like Excel) and to save to different types of files. When saving as a PDF it only saves as a single Sheet. We need to format the print options better.
Ever see 365 days woth of calls on a single sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 paper?
Me either I could not read it.

That's a great suggestion, thanks for the feedback. We are definitely aware of the need for improved printing options. I am interested thought in the types of files people are interested in saving to. Do you have any file types specifically in mind?
We would like to be able to print one worksheet per PDF page, with page setup options per sheet as well as per workbook.

So, although I realize that this doesn't solve the entire problem...you may be able to split up your PDFs using the pages shelf.
Check out this tip in the online help.
Not all reports will be able to be split up this way (depends on the fields you use and the general layout of the view), but this work around may get you through in the mean time.
I think this can already be done, if I understand your question. I have some workbooks with 6 or 7 dashboards and zillions of worksheets that make up the dashboards. I create a single multi-page pdf of just the dashboards by selecting all the dashboards, then going to publish as pdf', then select 'selected sheets'.
Sometimes the page set up has to be opened and closed for each sheet separately (but nothing actually done) for the pdf to look right (this may be fixed in the new version.)
What I get is a 6-page pdf, one page per dashboard.
