Copying Ad Hoc Groups across different data sources.

I have two tables X and Y.

X and Y each have a column "C" that contains the same data items.

I have created an adhoc group of elements in C for table X. I want to copy that adhoc group to table Y (which happens to come from a different data source, but is in the same workbook). But Tableau doesn't like this (it seems to ignore it).

Ideas?

If you are using v3.6 or higher you should be able to right-click the ad hoc group in the Data window for the sheet connected to table x and select Copy. Then switch to the sheet connected to table y, right-click the Data window and select Paste.

When you say "..it seems to ignore it..." do you mean that you did the copy and paste described above and it doesn't show up?
