Creating an extract from accessDB with 30% random sampling

Hi,
I have been trying to do an extraction of data from 240,000 rows in an access 2007 database for easier analysis. I want to take a 30% RANDOM sample but the software only allows to take a percentage from the to.  Is there any way around this?

I presume that Tableau would offer that ability if Access supported a RANDOM function/keyword. Anyone know of a good way to randomly sample an Access database? (Perhaps relating to adding a column with random data, then sorting by it and then "From Top" would be effectively random?)
