Interactive web posting - can online users alter values and see output?

After I post the graphs, can the users directly access source data and alter values and see how the graphs change?
I know you can do filters but I mean, non-preset values... i.e. if I want to let them see how the graph changes for values from 1-200, can they enter that online and see the changes live?

The first thing I can think of is having a workbook connected to a live database on Tableau Server, and providing users a form (outside of Tableau) to update the database. Then they can refresh the view. Tableau Public cannot connect to a live database, only extracts of local files.

i don't have Tableau Server but that's a good idea... maybe i can try to find a web form that will let me write to local file and then it'll real-time update. if you know any shortcuts on that end, do pass on the tip. :-) appreciate your help.

You can make a form in a web page that updates a Google Spreadsheet document, see:

I think it would be a perfect fit for a Tableau Public data source, for now I will keep on dreaming)
