Hi Patti,

Unfortunately we don't currently support filled maps in the way you've described. Your second request sounds interesting. Am I correct that you want to create and geocode regions based on zip code groups? We don't have support for that right now but you could create a grouped field that defines each of those regions and then use that to color encode your view.

For example, you can create a grouped field by right-clicking your zip code field and select Create Group. In the subsequent dialog box you can group each of the zip code regions and give them a unique name. When you click OK a new field displays in the Data window with the paper clip icon next to it to indicate it is a grouped field. Drag this field to the color shelf of your mapped view and the marks will each be colored appropriately.

However, in this solution the sales will not be aggregated within that region AND shown on the map. Perhaps you could combine a mapped view with detailed zip code sales with a higher level sales view into a dashboard. I've attached a sample workbook with and example.
