Sum of Aggregated Field

I have a calculation that uses averaged numbers.

I want the Grand Total to be the sum of the averaged numbers, instead it's giving me the average of the totals.

How do I create subtotals and grand total calculations?

If I try to create a calculated field, I get the message "argument to sum is already an aggregation and cannot be further aggregated"

Thanks.

We have this feature, known as "Total Using" on cube data sources (Essbase, MSAS). It allows you to choose a different aggregation for the totals than is done for the hierarchy.

Unfortunately, the current release does not have "Total Using" for relational data sources, which I would guess you are using, since it is far more widespread. I cannot come up with a clever calculation to get what you want. The closest thing I could think of doing is to do stacking bars of averages, which don't quite do the right thing with two dimensions. I've attached some screen shots and a workbook that shows the attempt.

I believe there are other users that would like this feature for relational data sources, so with any luck it will be available in a future release.
