SEATTLE — February 9, 2009 — Tableau Software, the global leader in fast analytics and data visualization software, today announced that Ray White chose Tableau Software to enable 5,000 of its sales agents to track KPI’s and view sales reports via a browser. Ray White, with nearly 1,000 offices in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia, sold over $25 billion worth of property in 2007.

“We selected Tableau’s business intelligence software because nothing else could meet our requirements for a highly-scalable, web-based analytical solution for a budget-friendly investment” said Ian Campbell, Senior Manager – Growth, Ray White. “We were able to test and deploy it very rapidly in a configuration that met our needs. Tableau gave us what we needed: an easy-to-learn, data visualization application that could deliver key metrics and KPI’s to virtually all our offices without requiring high levels of IT support.”

Tableau Server is a key element of Ray White’s plans to distribute KPI’s across the organization. Offices and employees will be able to visualize a collection of functional and cross-functional indicators to quickly and easily analyze trend and point-in-time questions.

“In this economic climate, few companies can afford bloated BI systems with their high license fees, long roll-outs, expensive maintenance needs and low user adoption rates,” said Christian Chabot, CEO and co-founder, Tableau Software. “Ray White was looking for a new kind of BI—software that is fast and easy to deploy, simple to learn and intuitive to use. Tableau offers all of that for a fraction of the cost and install time of legacy platforms.”

Ray White is deploying both Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server. Award-winning Tableau Desktop data visualization software connects directly to a wide assortment of data sources allowing people to understand complex relationships through engaging and easy-to-understand visualizations. Award-winning Tableau Server extends the functionality of Desktop to the Web, enabling entire organizations to share, discover and participate with their data via a Web browser.
