Localize Your Tableau Public

We're excited to see Tableau Public catching on around the world. We've seen vizzes from Argentina, Australia, Czech Republic, France, Germany and the Netherlands recently. Did you know that international users can set their default date and number formats to be appropriate to their language and country? Here's how:

  1. Make sure you're running Tableau Public 6.1 If you're not, download it.
  2. Change the workbook locale (Edit --> Locale --> more) and select your country.

Voilà! Now the date and number formats will be updated for every workbook you create.
