Are you a data geek, or simply like to visualize data? In partnership with CARE, the Tableau Student Data Challenge will tell a real story about the lives of real people in Lesotho. We provide the data and case study; you mine, visualize, and tell us what's most interesting. That's it. Create a team of up to three people, or a team of one, and register now to enter the contest by filling out the form below. Looking forward to seeing your viz skills in this 4-day data challenge.
March 30 - Registration begins. Register yourself and/or team for the contest by completing the form below. Teams of up to three people are allowed.
April 12 - Contest begins at 5 pm PT. You'll receive an email with a link to a Tableau Packaged Workbook and instructions. If you don't have Tableau Desktop yet, make sure to download a copy here. You'll also need Tableau Public to publish your dashboard (see link and instructions below).
April 16 - Contest closes at 5 pm PT. In order to qualify, you will need to embed your dashboard to a blog or website and post the link to: Facebook. Make sure to include add your team name in the comments section of the posting.

What you’ll win
1st Place - $1250
The winner chosen by our judges will receive cold hard cash of $1,250.
2nd Place - $750

Step 1Register Your Team or Yourself
Please note all participants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents currently enrolled at an accredited U.S. based university or college and seeking an undergraduate or graduate degree. See the rules page for all restrictions and guidelines. Create a team of one, two, or three data enthusiasts. Registration closes on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 12:00 pm PT.
