"Hate" is not usually a term people throw around lightly, but air travel during the holidays can have anyone spouting off like the Grinch. Tom Johansmeyer of the travel site Gadling has channeled his feelings into this interesting viz of traffic numbers by airline and airport. For a little extra fun, we have also included his recent viz of airfares.
About this Viz
As you can see, traffic has increased which will likely lead to longer lines and an increase in holiday fun. Fares seem to be trending upwards as well, with an increase of $40 on the average fare YOY. The good news is that prices have gone down in inflation adjusted terms since 1995.
