Editing Tooltips

Tooltips provide details about data in the view. The fields included in a tooltip are used for all the tooltips on a sheet. By default, tooltips include the values for all dimensions and measures used in the view, but you can customize the content and format.

Different sheets in a workbook can have different tooltip content. However, if you plan to create a dashboard from multiple sheets, it is better to keep tooltips consistent.

A tooltip appears anytime you rest the pointer over data in the view. For example, a view showing Regional Sales by Year automatically includes the Region, Year, and Sales values in the tooltip.
