Use the share options to easily email and embed the views you save to the web. Clicking the Share button generates simple links that you can either embed in a blog or webpage or email to a friend or co-worker.
To Email Views:
- Navigate to the view on Tableau Server that you want to email.*
-
Click the Share link in the lower left corner of the view.
-
Copy and paste the Email link into your email message.
When the recipients click the link in the email, the view will load in a browser where they can filter, sort, drill down, and even share it themselves.
To Embed Views:
- Navigate to the view on Tableau Server that you want to embed.*
-
Click the Share link in the lower left corner of the view.
-
Copy and paste the Embed code into your webpage.
The embedded view displays inline in your blog or webpage where others can interact with it and even share it themselves.

*Note: Alternatively, you can click the Share button in the Save to Web Results dialog box in the desktop application.

Display Options
You can control the size of the view and whether to show the toolbar using the Display Options in the Share window. Each of the display options are described below:
- Width: The width of the entire view when viewed in the browser. This option shows the current size by default.
- Height: The height of the entire view when viewed in the browser. This option shows the current size by default.
- Show Toolbar: When selected, the toolbar will display along the bottom of the view. Learn more about Controlling the Toolbar.
- URL for RSS links: Optionally, add a URL that will be used as the link for static images in RSS feeds. For example, use this option to specify a specific destination page for the RSS entry rather than your main page of your blog or website. Alternatively, you can use this option to add tracking code to monitor traffic coming from your RSS feed.
