When you build a dashboard you can specify the size it will be when you save it to the web. You can select from a list of common sizes or specify custom dimensions.
To set a fixed size for your dashboard:
- In the desktop application with your dashboard open, click the Edit link in the Size area of the Dashboard window.
- Select a behavior. For example, you can select an exact size, range of sizes, or minimum and maximum sizes.
- Specify a size. You can select form a list of common sizes or define custom dimensions.
When you share the dashboard by embedding it into your blog or webpage we add some additional space to accommodate the toolbar and branding. Specifically, you will need to account for the following measurements when figuring out the final size of the embedded dashboard:
- Toolbar: 26 pixels in height
- Branding: 60 pixels in height
- Padding: 4 pixels in width
For example, if your blog supports a width of 800px then you should set your dashboard width to 796px to account for the 4px of padding that is added when you embed it into the page.
