MEDIA ALERT: BAND Selects Tableau Software to Facilitate Self-Service Portal and Analyze Internal Data

发布日期:

Tableau Software (NYSE: DATA), a global leader in rapid-fire, easy-to-use business analytics software, today announced that BAND, part of one the largest media groups in Brazil, Grupo Bandeirantes de Comunicação, is using Tableau to analyze more than 1 million rows of data in real-time, making it the leader among advertising agencies.

The sales department at BAND presents a real-time visual analysis of its communications offering through its self-service market intelligence portal using Tableau Desktop 8.0. BAND’s advertising and marketing agency customers can now use Tableau to follow BAND programming and decide the best options for their clients.

BAND handles copious amount of data for the 36 companies within the media powerhouse and Tableau has been instrumental in helping to organize its internal and external information. BAND uses external market research to analyze its media offerings, which are, in turn, used as a tool for marketers. Internally, BAND uses Tableau to analyze real-time sales data and to crunch millions of rows of data related to its advertising opportunities, commercial breaks, rates, trafficking instructions and much more.

BAND was impressed with how easy Tableau was to use and how fast it was to implement.

“For sure, the benefits were enormous,” said Gabriel Queiroz, Director of Market Intelligence for BAND. “In terms of productivity, we gained a lot. Tableau is a practical tool that can be implemented by virtually any department within a company with minimal IT support. With Tableau, we implemented the concept of self-service business intelligence that allowed our clients direct access to their information.”

Prior to using Tableau, in order to audit trafficking instructions from a specific advertiser, BAND would have to analyze frequency on a specific channel, compile the data on an Excel sheet and then produce a PowerPoint presentation with all the information. With Tableau, it now has a self-service platform that advertisers can use to analyze and visualize the data in just a few clicks.

Tableau Experience in Brazil
To unveil the latest updates to its award-winning business analytics software, Tableau will hold events throughout Brazil to showcase Tableau 8.1, Tableau’s newest product that will be available by the end of the year. There will also be customer speakers at the event, such as Band, and an opportunity to speak with Tableau’s Latin America sales team. This afternoon affair is a great introduction into modern day analytics.
