The Impact of Year Over Year Growth on the Black Bear Population
A table calculation was used to calculate the year over year growth during the decade. Again, 1972 stood out when the population dropped over 60%. Was there some sort of irregular weather that had a negative impact on the bears? For instance, bears eat a lot of plants, so if 1972 was a really dry year their food supply may have been jeopardized.
